Multiple Engine and Powertrain Options

With a 181-horsepower output and up to 34 MPG in highway mileage, this edition’s base engine, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gas engine, is perfect for both daily commutes and long-distance road trips. For a sportier driving experience, there’s a larger 250-horsepower 2.0-liter that gets up to 34 MPG.

However, if fuel efficiency is your priority, the third engine is a 2.5-liter hybrid one that delivers 191 horsepower, up to 36 MPG on highways, and up to 42 MPG on city streets when pairing it with a regular hybrid powertrain. When teaming this engine with the available plug-in hybrid powertrain, you can expect 210 horses, an estimated 560-mile total driving range, and up to 101 MPGe when combining both gas and electric power.

A Stylish Design Meets Interior Comforts

The vehicle’s smaller design gives this SUV a sporty appearance, which is complemented by dual chrome exhaust tips, a piano black grille, and privacy glass extending from the second row to the liftgate. The available panoramic power sunroof opens across both rows, and you can also opt for black roof side rails, a heating function for the sideview mirrors, and many other convenience features.

Inside, different temperature preference settings can be set with the standard dual-zone climate control, most models have front and rear power windows, and you’ll find a sliding, split-folding bench seat in the rear, allowing you to bring bulky cargo along on adventures. Unique cloth, mini-perforated ActiveX material, and a vinyl and cloth combination with red stitching come as seating fabrics, depending on the trim, and heated 10-way power driver and six-way power passenger front seats are available.

Advanced Entertainment and Safety Features

To ensure no drive is boring, you’ll find plenty of impressive entertainment features throughout the cabin, including the multi-function SYNC 4 infotainment system with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, AM/FM stereo with six speakers, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot connection that’s accessible with an internet data plan. SiriusXM with 360L also comes standard when you have a monthly subscription plan, and both a 10-speaker B&O audio system and wireless charging pad are available.

As for driver assistance, you’re well-covered in this SUV with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of standard features, which comes with the Lane-Keeping System, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, the Rear View Camera, and BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking. Also included is Pre-Collision Assist, which teams with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Dynamic Brake Support, Forward Collision Warning, and Pedestrian Detection.
